About the Performers:The Wallens have brought their close-knit harmony vocals and storytelling to Australia, Europe, and across the US at events like the Telluride Blues Fest. Originally hailing from Kentucky, Molly is a classically-trained vocalist and percussionist with experience in opera and bluegrass alike. Hoosier guitarist/vocalist Brian Keith Wallen won 2nd place in the 2015 International Blues Challenge and was also named "Artist of the Year" by the Starr-Gennett Foundation. Incorporating elements of bluegrass, blues, and folk, their sound is best described as foot-stomping hippie music! Shared influences include John Prine, Nickel Creek, Jason Isbell, and Amanda Shires. From Facebook Live streams to outdoor venues all over the Midwest, Brian and Molly's feel good sound is the perfect pick-me-up during these challenging times. https://thewallensmusic.com Laura Joy is a nationally touring artist who impresses audiences with her warmth, ability to connect emotionally, and songs that touch the soul. She has developed a unique playing and singing style that defies comparison. She has written songs that have won wide acclaim including first place at the Great River Folk Festival, best original song from NPR’s Chicagoland affiliate and repeat accolades at the Acorn Theater Songwriting Contest. She has opened for and shared stages with many nationally known touring artists including Restless Heart, Greg Brown, Robbie Fulks, Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts. https://laurajoymusic.com/ Part blues and part old school country, seasoned with a pinch of gospel, Kentucky-born guitarist Dean Phelps combines the rhythmic beat of thumbpick guitar with a soulful vocal style. He stirs his guitar and voice into a repertoire of songs from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, creating a style that is reminiscent of performers like Merle Travis and Doc Watson with just a hint of Leon Redbone. https://www.deanphelpsmusic.com/
